About Us

My name is Lismary Jiménez. I’m a physician and a mother of three boys, and in our home, what we eat has always mattered.

A few years ago I learned something I couldn’t unlearn: a wheat kernel has three parts — bran, germ, and endosperm — and refined flour keeps only one. Milling the whole grain fresh keeps all three, with their fiber, protein, vitamins, and flavor. Nothing removed.

I began milling for my own family, and the food — the bread, the pancakes, the pizza — was simply better.

I started Stone & Grain because once I understood what a whole grain holds — and what we lose when we refine it — I couldn’t go back.

We mill fresh in Puerto Rico. I hope your family enjoys this as much as mine does.
